2. (PC Only) Disable the Developer Console
If you are on PC, make sure you don't have the developer console
enabled. To check this, right click the shortcut to the game on your
computer, and then click on Properties. In the Shortcut tab, there is a
"Target" line. It will have something like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole
Delete -enabledeveloperconsole from that line, click Apply, then click OK. Do the same thing for the Dragon Age 2 shortcut. If you have enabled the developer console in another way (see this page for Origins and this page for DA:2 - there are a few other ways it could have been done) then reverse what was done to enable it.
Along these lines, if you have a mod installed that lets you see
what is typed for the developer console (usually you can't see what
you're typing unless you have a mod installed for that), move it out
from under your Override folder and re-launch the game without the
console enabled. You can also try removing other mods then force-load
your save later in these steps. The reason for removing mods is that some of them turn on the developer console themselves, so trying to sync with no mods installed would be your best bet.Back to Step 1: Patch Your Games
