The Leak

I was going to make an entry on being pleasantly surprised that there had not been any leaks about the Keep - guess that one is out the window.

I'm not going to repost anything about it. I just wanted to say that it is is hurtful to developers of anything when you sign an NDA and then break it. Whether you break it yourself or show your friends and they do it, it's still showing someone's hard work before they are ready for it to be public. On top of the NDA being a legally binding agreement, it's just the wrong thing to do.

Lady Insanity posted on Tumblr about it (you can read it here); this is from her post:

I’m not sure of the details on what Bioware will do internally, besides the already banhammering of the OP, but I’m sure this just halted the invites going out for Keep. It’s been awesome watching newcomers jump into the beta boards and seeing more people’s responses to Keep overtime, but damn…it sucks to see one person spoil the chances for future Keepers.

There are always consequences to people's actions. I seriously hope it doesn't stop the invites going out but it may well do so. If this was my company, it sure as hell would, at least for a while. I really shake my head sometimes at how people don't think before they act.. or maybe they do and just don't care about anyone else.

I'm hoping we can move past this - and I'm hoping there are severe consequences to the person who posted the leak.

To everyone still waiting for a Keep invite, don't lose hope.
