Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC: Next Gen (and PC) Only From Now On

On July 5, BioWare announced that any new DLC they release for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be exclusive to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC only.

All future Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One only, so we designed our Save Importer feature to help make the transition to a new console as easy as possible. This is.. a little abrupt. The game is available for last gen, the DLC so far has been available for last gen.. and now suddenly it won't be? It sounds like the features in the upcoming DLC are just too much for last gen to handle, as I don't believe BioWare would just up and make this decision without reason and a lot of thought. Leaving a portion of your customer base behind, no matter how small, is never good. It stands to reason that this move was necessary, although it will probably upset many players who purchased the game for their aging consoles.

At least the past DLC is available for next gen for free via their Cross Buy program if it was purchased already for a last gen console, and the main game has come down in price (and there are sales quite often for it, even via Origin). It's just the purchase of the actual new console that will/may hurt.
